A GUIDE TO WAR POETRY BOOKS
About this listing of war poetry books
My aim
My aim is to provide information about books that are likely to be of
value to readers interested in war poetry, war poets and the history and
issues relating to war and peace. Many of these books have informed my
own studies.
My books
I declare a certain bias in this information since I am the editor of
two anthologies of poetry of the First World War. These are: Minds at War, the
Poetry and Experience of the First World War, and Out in the Dark,
Poetry of the First World War in Context and with Basic Notes. I believe
these both have something special to offer and there is extended
information about these books on this website.
Other books of interest
I have been fascinated, moved, enriched and inspired by many books. I
hope the lists which I plan to develop during 2010 will be of use to
many people.
Prices
In most cases readers need not pay the list prices quoted below. Very
often large discounts are available from Amazon or dealers accessed
through their site or dealers elsewhere.
