EDWARD THOMAS 1878 - 1917
Edward Thomas is a greatly loved English poet, and, for many, the war poems are not the main
interest. He was a poet of England and the English countryside, the weather, and the seasons.
He was deeply reflective, often melancholy, sincere, plain and direct in all he said and did.
There is more information about Edward Thomas in Brief Lives of 25 War Poets (See First
World War index).
