This little epigram carries a heavy warning. 

The peace movement has been set back fifty years. War fighting, for the first time in half a century is now an acceptable approach to international relations as far as NATO nations are concerned. This means increased arms spending, a new arms race, more wars. Mankind enters the twenty-first century in greater danger than we have ever been in before.
