The War Poetry website was started in June1999 and has been edited from that time to the present day by David Roberts. More and more time has been spent on the website over the years since its creation till it has become the top ranked war poetry website in most search engines. During the 12 months from 13 November 2010 to 12 November 2011 there were 828,367 visitors to the website (the first 12-month period of collecting statistics).
During 2010 and 2011 design improvements have been made, making the layout of the website more consistent. The content of the website has been enhanced. Video poems and other relevant video material have been added in 2011. The Remembrance page has been increased in size and made easier to navigate. Reader comments, complaints, and suggestions will be welcomed.
